Blackened Tilapia

We love Blackened Cajun food. It is so good. So tonight we made Blackened Tilapia. It was amazing. In fact, after doing it everyone said they would love it if I made it again tomorrow. Now that is a compliment. :) I promise you this. If you make it and you like blackened Cajun food, you will love this. You could make it with Salmon or most fish.

Blackened Tilapia

Ingredients:

Spice Mixture
1 TBS Paprika
1 TSP Ground Cumin
1 TSP Onion Powder
1/2 TSP Dried Thyme
3/4 TSP Salt
1/8 TSP Cayenne Pepper
3/4 TSP Black Pepper

Fish
4 Fish Fillets (about 5 Oz Each)
2 TBS Extra Virgin Olive Oil plus extra to rub on fish

Directions:
1. Combine Spice Mix in a shallow dish and mix together until well blended.
2. Rub each fish fillet in olive oil and immediately coat both sides of the fish fillets with the Spice mix.
3. (You don't need oil in the Copper Chef but we add it for extra flavor to the fish) Heat oil in Copper Skillet  over medium high heat and add fish and cook until the spice mixture  turns black, then flip and cook other side until it is black or until fish is cooked to your taste
Serve with lemon or butter
